You know, concerning torque, a modular motor in a truck with no weight
on the ass might be a good ticket for you fast boys. A 5.2 could easily
push 350 horse and stay at 300 ft/lbs, minimizing rear lateral movement
that came stock with my truck. Then through a Vortech on top for fun.
I do know when my truck was approaching the 300 mark, the tranny
busted on me. Even Dodge say's the 488 will tear up the Ram's 1/2
ton package, and put a beatin on the 3/4 package. Maybe that's why they
didn't offer
the 360 in the Dak's (not that it was much difference in torque).Still
interested in seeing a picture of this "Sidewinder" concept truck though. A
good built Dak
motor with a 12 psi Vortech will be over 500 ponies for less than $20,000,
whereas the concept will be well over $80,000 with that motor. I'll stick
with the Dak..
