I've got a '95 SLT club cab with the 318. Because of the giant
difference in price locally between 87 and 93 octane gas (1.10 vs 1.30 per
gallon) i've been running a lot of 87. I haven't noticed any pinging, even
on the few occasions where I really floor it (can't over do it, that V8
really sucks it down as it is :>...) I love my truck, and if I noticed it
having trouble with the cheap gas i'd sure go out and spend the extra money!
