I have never had a lot of faith in rustproofing but I do have a pit in my
garage and about twice a year when changing the oil I add a little kerosene
and dump in a old spray gun and oil all the lines, cables and underneath.
This has worked quite well and is thin enough to get in around everything, I
will admit it is a little messy but works well.
