Bill,

I must disagree. If the odo was connected to the front wheel,
Kuk would get a very high MPG because he drives with the
front wheels off the groud most of the time.

Y'know, if the odometer was connected to the front wheel like a VW, we'd
be getting even worse fuel economy. ;-)
