The Challenge

Believe it or not, I just got challenged from 1BADDAK from Mopar Muscle
to a drag race, I wrote a letter 8 months ago concerning that truck's ET
of 14.4's with a supercharger, and commented that many Dak's are running
14.9 to 14.6's with a K&N only. My brother's Dak run's 14.6's off the street
with a K&N only, believe it or not. So I challenged that truck to a run down
the
strip then, when my Dak was running 14.20's. Now, 1BADDAK runs 13.20 at 107
many
$$$ later, and he must have taken that old challenge personally. He said to
bring
my truck down to Florida, in the same weather, and the mag would rent the
track.
So, here was my reply....

Don't get your panties in a wad, I just asked if you remember my
correspondence
when I challenged your truck or whoever it belongs to, when it ran 14.4's
with a blower.
There are many Daks around with a K&N only, running 14.6's, in Florida no
less. Since
your mag can cough up $3000 for parts, get that truck up here and run an
article in the mag about how
a normally aspirated Dak was side by side, same weather, with 1BADDAK.
Most people in the Dak club can't cough up that much money for a blower, they
want to see the real potential within
the checkbooks reason. Your articles are misleading owners that the only way
to get a Dak
to move is with a blower or unnatural aspiration. My truck next to your
truck, in a
challenge of least $$$ spent for the most performance, would make you sick.
Is 1BADDAK
up to that challenge? Woodburn Dragstrip, Oregon.

Just to clarify one thing fellows, when I said Dak club, I am not referencing
the Dakota
Mailing List, I obviously don't know everyone's financial positions...
