Kukukooter, my MPH was slow at 99 because my truck is set up to take
advantage of the low end torque that the 318 makes. It 60's 1.79. But
it runs out of HP at the top end. I'm hoping with the fuel system
changes I'm making will bring it up to the 102+ MPH a naturally
aspirated one should run. Thats where the huffers help the most is at
the top end. I just found out that the stock fuel pump only runs
through a 5/32 line from the pump to the top of the tank. No wonder
it was laying down at the top end when I was asking more RPM's. Boy
isn't the 318 Magnum the greatest motor... Wish I had one in my one
muscle cars, ie 340 Cuda.
