I can't remember what it says in the owner's manual about max speed in
4WD. They do say something about not exceeding some speed in Lo Range,
but I never go over 20 or so in 5th in Lo Range. At 65 in 4 HI it just
blows down the road and gets a little lower mileage than in 2 HI. What
really kills the mileage is 4WD chugging around the prairie looking for
prairie dogs in 1st and 2d gear. Get maybe 14 or 15 mpg.
