MSD installation -Reply

Well, here's a tip for you on the installation. You won't use the
magnetic pickup wires on the MSD unit. I tried using it first of all
and found out the truck wouldn't start. So, I just used the other
way you get the signal to the MSD unit (via some 12 guage wires
coming out of the unit. . .they're color coded so you really can't
mess them up). Hey, if a 21 year old guy can hook this thing up, I
know you guys can, too.

To any one that has a MSD on their Dak,
        Was the installation hard? What are some pointers? Can someone
with basic skills do the install? I am seriously considering
purchasing
a MSD unit and don't want to get myself in over my head. I will
probably
go with the MSD unit, MSD coil and MSD wires and Autolite Platniums
(it is
time for plugs and wires anyway). I guess if you are gonna do it,
you might
as well do it right.
