I think it's a great idea.
I guess I should take the opportunity to introduce myself. I've been
on the list for a while but have not posted anything. I purchased my
3rd Dakota in January and came across this list shortly thereafter. My
first Dak was an '87 reg. cab w/V6/3speed auto. I put 150,000 miles on
it and it never complained! I then bought a '90 model club cab/V6/4
speed auto. At 90,000 miles the overdrive came apart in my tranny and
trashed it. As soon as I got that fixed I traded it on my '95 club cab
w/5.2 V8/4 speed auto. Boy, what a difference a V8 makes!! It's all
stock but with all this talk about performance and the fact that I can't
keep the back wheels from spinning I'm going to do some upgrades
ASAMA(as soon as money allows) :)
I've sure learned a lot from the list and appreciate you guys. BTW,
I found some Quaker State Type 7176 ATF at my local parts store today.
It's sure a lot cheaper than a rebuild on the trans!

PS. I never gave the "seat-belt rectractor" problem a second thought
until you guys brought it up. Now, after all these years, it's
beginning to bug me!!! :)
