Specs on the 300 horse cam are:
274/264 duration - .433"/.430" lift - int/exh respectively
Specs on the 380 horse cam are:
288/292 duration - .501"/.513" lift - int/exh respectively
I'm wondering if the 300 horse specs are a misprint. It's odd that
the intake side is favored. Is the exhaust flow on the Magnum head
*that* effecient?
I would think that the only thing that might keep these from working
would be piston-to-valve clearance. I would bet *big* money that the
duration/lift figures are better than stock. Does anyone know what
the specs are on the cam that's part of the Magnum R/T package?

Hey, I wonder if the 300 horse cam that's offered in the MP parts
catalog would go into the 318 without any trouble? It would have to
have better lift/duration than the stock 318 Magnum cam, and if
they're both off the same block, essentially, then why wouldn't it
work? Besides, the 300 horse cam that's offered is about $200
cheaper than the cam for the 318 that's offered for $450, and it only
gives you around 15 horsepower, doesn't it? Just my 2 pennies. . .
