My dakota is stock(3.9 V-6 --> 3spd. auto --> 3.55 sure grip), only mod is
the fastback!

When I bought my second 1962 Cadillac Sedan de Ville (Parts car) I towed it
to my cottage for safe keeping. This Cadillac is a 5000 lbs. car that I
towed on a car traller, not one of those wheel boogie's. I pulled this car
from Montreal Canada up into the Laurentian Mountans 50 miles north. I won't
lie to you and say that I didn't feel the weight( after all I was pulling a
trailer that was heavier than the truck it's self! ),Braking was one
manouver that took planning. But on the highway It pulled the weight just
fine, It kept up even up on the hills, and handled respectfully.
