Help, I can't stop thinking about fender plugs

Hey folks;

I do not remember who started this fender plug thing (was that you Bruce),
but this thing is like went you hear a catchy tune and hum it all day long.

Open your hoods and look at the back edge (along the double thickness
part), there are two rubber plugs (one on each side) and they are in the
same kind of holes as on the tops of the fenders, DOLLLLLLLLLLL!
