The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the Mound Road plant that makes
our Magnum engines is closed due to a UAW strike over Chrysler's decision
to use driveshafts made elsewhere.

As a result of the engine shortage, the Warren, MI plant that makes Ram
and Dakota pickups is idle, as well as the Jefferson North Jeep Grand
Cherokee line and the Pillette Rd plant in Ontario that makes vans. The
St. Louis North plant that makes full-size trucks [more Rams??] will
also close. 12080 workers are idle.

Chrysler reported record net earnings, which the company is using for a
stock repurchase program.
