        Your power loss problem sounds more like something wrong with
the Auto-Shutdown Relay. I would swap around the relays in the power
distribution box (under the hood) so the circuit is using a different
relay. I would also go looking for any frayed wiring harness, especially
the battery cables, and the massive harness under the dash, which
might get abused by the steering column if it's not mounted right.
        I've had the ABS light latch up too once. Turning the ignition
off and then on cleared it up completely though. I did find out soon
after that my battery had one dead cell, so maybe it's an undervoltage
condition??
