Has anyone figured out the markings on the oil pressure gauge?
Mine goes from 0-110psi with 40psi in the middle? Whats up with
that?
My oil pressure always seemed to hoover just above the 40psi mark.
(I'm guessing maybe 50psi or so) at idle AND at cruise. I've just
completed my first oil change and now I get readings of maybe 20psi
(first *white* line) at idle and around 50 at cruise. I used
10w-30 dinosaur oil (Valvoline) and a Hastings Filter. Again, this
is on a V6. This would appear normal but I'm looking for a reason
that it would change pre/post oil change. Was the factory oil
straight 30 weight or something? I was told it was regular oil and
not *shipping* oil.
What are other V6 owners seeing for oil pressure at idle and
cruise?
