Before I bought my Dakota, I did some research through the internet on ABS
brakes and decided that I would be better off without them ... plus $500
wealthier. Some guys have them and absolutely love them.
I corresponded with an accident investigation firm somewhere in Florida
(the owner had written a paper on the subject) and they actually
disconnected the rear wheel ABS on their fleet vehicles because they
believed that ABS brakes were dangerous.
I think the jury is still out on the value of ABS.
