LOW/NO oil pressure: I have an '89 V6 that scared me to death when it was
practically new. I replaced the gage then the sending unit. No better. Finally
did the Mechanical gage test referred to by someone on this list and found my
pressure to be well into the "safe" zone at all ranges of temp and speeds.
Quit worrying about it. Truck has 145000 miles now and still the oil pressure
hovers around the lowest mark on the scale. If you truly have a low oil
pressure the lifters will clatter.

L. John Morris: Are you really a FARMER???? I was raised on a farm in the very
south of Tn. I am 60 years old and farmed 250 acres of row crop as well as
worked here until 3 years ago. Couldn't afford to do it anymore, but I still
love it. Planning to retire from here in 2 more years and try my luck at it
again.

Running rough @ 1st start: Could be the oxygen sensor (located in exhaust with
electrical wiring to it). MAP sensor could also be the culprit. These things
are hard to isolate. Try to read your fault codes by turning the ignition
on/off three (3) cycles and leaving in the on position - watch your "CHECK
ENGINE" light. It will flash a number of times; short pause; flash a number of
times; long pause; flash some more etc. When you get 55, the test is
completed. Write down the codes and list them here and maybe we can help you
more. (You may have to go thru the cycle a couple of times to get the hang of
the flashing/numbering system) Long pause is for between sets of numbers.
Short pause is between numbers of same set.

WORKING TO BE THE BEST
