  Good question, Rick. :)

   Back when I first got the truck, I got fed up with wondering what
was going on, so I threw a 5 gallon can of gas in the bed and ran
'er dry. (Later I found out this is a stupid thing to do with a fuel
injected engine. Fortuntately, I didn't do any damage...) I did
the 5 gallon thing again, (being more careful about running dry that
time), just to be sure.

  Never did get an idiot light.
