Pat;
Not sure if you have the 31x10.5's or 235/75R15's, but so far my experience
with the 31's have been favorable also. Referencing my past life, I always
favored Dunlop tires. However, on my *other* vehicle it had Firestone
235/75 ATX's that I experimented with, by rotating them every 3000 miles
... RF to LR ... LF to RR and the back ones directly to the front, then
repeat the next 3000 mile rotation. They lasted 54,000 miles, and believe
me I'm not easy on tires, when I replaced them they would have probably
made another 3k or 4k miles, but I needed better tread for winter driving.
I purchase another set of identical Firestones, unfortunately I haven't
been quite as religious on the rotation and they don't 'seem' to be holding
up as well, appear that they may make 35,000 or so.
Based on what I have experienced so far, with the Goodyear's on the Dak I
would recommend them, but that is for "my" type of use. Who knows what
will be available when I need to replace them, which hopefully that won't
be for another 50,000 miles, ho ... ho ... ho ;-) Not on your life with
this stump pulling V8, 5spd, 3.92SG.

Speaking of tires, and I know we had this discussion a couple of weeks ago,
but what about tires? I've never had many problems with the Wranglers, and
the RT/S that come with the Dak seem to grip quite well, though I know a
number of people on this list hate them. For a similar on/off road tire,
or perhaps an All-Terrain tire, what does everybody recommend?
