I have the exact same seats in my '97 Club cab as well. I'd have to dig it
out, but I believe that was displayed in the literature for the '97.

My dealer told me that I have 98 seats in my new, 97 Dakota club cab. He
said it was sort of like a 97+1/2 truck.
I have the standard, 60/40 split seats with the fold down arm rest.
The dealer said that I had the 98 seats because the cup holder pops out
from underneath the seat. It holds 2, small drinks. When not in use, it
can be pushed under the seat, out of the way.
Now... is this true about these being 98 seats... or was he confused?
If it is true... does anyone know any other differences between the 97 and
the 97+1/2 truck? Thanks.
