I wouldn't say I was the "inventor". Just took a good idea, figured out a
cheaper way to do it, and applied it to my application. Kinda caught on
though. ;^)

Don't see why you couldn't use it on the Shelby.....although you should
have room for a 14" dia. if you choose to go that route.

The S-bolt simply replaces the screwy bracket/stud assembly that the
factory uses. The bracket blocks a portion of the incoming airflow. I'm
unfamiliar with the older model Daks though......what kind of air cleaner
stud/assembly do you have now?

How many hoses do you have to the air cleaner? The hose from the valve
cover breather will still connect as the air cleaner (at least the 1208
Edelbrock does) has a nipple for this hose.
