You're right. I dug out the owner's manual and looked further up under the
dash and found that I had indeed replaced the hazard (wrong) flasher. The
turn signal flasher is hidden by a bundle of wires wrapped in electrical
tape that looks aftermarket to me. Probably something to do with the alarm,
trailer brake, or the little green lights that light up in the interior
under the dash. Whoever owned my truck before I bought it sure spent a lot
of money on cosmetics and toys. I wish he would have spent the cash on
performance instead. Oh well.
