IMHO, like the camaro, 1st Gen 67-69, then major change in 70 was 2nd gen, the 97 DAK would be 2nd Gen

Hey, wouldn't the '97-present model dakotas be the *THIRD* generation
Dakota?? Do we count the 87-91 models as first generation (boxy front

end), and the 92-96 models the 2nd generation (rounded front end, magnum
engines)?? Or does a generation have to be a "clean-sheet" redesign??
