Your going to use slapper bars on a Super Stock spring equipped
vehicle? If so save up for another set of springs because you will
break them. If your running SS springs and a pinion snubber and you
still have traction problems then you need to increase the tire's
contact patch. Using slapper bars is NOT the way to do it with SS
springs, in fact the MP chassis book expressly forbids this. The SS
springs are build so that the front section of the spring is very
stiff, like it's own built in traction bar.

i ordered a set of lakewood traction bars last night from jeg's. they come
in yellow, i figure i will paint em when i get em (dont want em to be too
obvious, so they willbe black)next week. the reason i bought them was
because i let my buddy make a run down the 1/4 mile in my truck and i saw
the rear leaf springs flex real nice! (not good). so i do beleive these
(snip)
the tranny and stall converter are next:). i am gonna run 3.23 gears to
start in my 8 3/4 sure grip, then move on to 3.91's in the future if i dont
like the 3.23s for all around driving. gonna have my tf-727 rebuilt soon
and get my 2800-3200 stall converter. im hoping to get the car in the 12's
since it weighs a mere 2750 pounds:). gonna run super stock springs and a
pinion snubber as well.
