Thank you I will try that website. I was surprised how little of a response
I received. Guess most people only care about talking about the new
Dakota's ?

Mopar Performance can take care of everything. Most of their stuff goes to
'91 only. They have very little that I've seen in the catalog (1996) so I
didn't bother to order the '97 catalog. One thing I've made a point to
avoid when changing camshafts is the intake and exhaust duration. For
better scavenging of the cylinder, make sure the exhaust duration is longer
than the intake. A balanced camshaft (equal duration) holds nothing on
Dodge engines. I found out about this while working with AMC and Jeep
before Chry got hold of 'em. Dodge, AMC and Jeep had a tendency to use
smaller than usual ports on the exhaust side. You need to keep the exhaust
valve open longer to scavenge the cylinder more effectively.
Check out the website below and see if they can help.

Hi folks
Maybe you can help a friend of mine. This friend has been totally out
of the speed thing for 10 years and doesn't know where to start.
He has a 1991 dakota cc auto V-8 (no extras) 4x4 totally stock.
He would like to know if there is a computer upgrade
for his non-magnum V-8 ?, He was also asking what simple
Items you could recomend to better this engine (no cam changes)
Glenn.
