It does sound as if that might be a misprint. I would think we would
have heard something before now if this was going to be available next
year. (Unless maybe it was going to be a late '98 thing?) Here's a

So, it looks like we will eventually get a 4 door Dakota. Or, at
least, Chrysler is strongly considering it... Late '98 or '99
might not be a bad guess...
