According to the factory manual, the "on-off-on-off-on" sequence must be
performed within 5 seconds, start to finish.
Here' another little "fun" thing you can get your on board computer to do=
:
Press in on the button that toggles between "trip" and "odometer" (97 and=
up), as you turn the key to the "on" position (not start). Watch the
digital odometer. In a few seconds the letters "CHCK" will appear. =
Release button.
Computer will proceed to test all instrument panel functions, odometer
digit segments, gauge movements, etc.
You have to tap the trip button between each group of test.
When your actual mileage appears in the display, and the chime rings, the=
test series is over.
