The Gibsons come with a lifetime warranty.

 As far as the rear exit goes if the unit is designed for a side exit, it
may not scavenge the cylinders as well due to the increased lenght.
Supposedly the manufacturer goes to great lenghts (pun intended) to make
the product at the optimum length. But, I could be wrong on this part.
