I've looked through the brake troubleshooting section of my service
manual(it's for a 92, they might possibly be the same) and it says,
"When both rear wheels are affected, meaning both wheels grab, the
master cylinder or proportioning valve could be at fault. I don't
believe you mentioned if the antilock brake warning light was on or not,
if it isn't, it probably has nothing to do with the antilock feature. I
believe all the components of the antilock system are monitored. I hope
this points you in the right direction!
