Course not. The reason for not using 4 wheel drive on dry pavement is
because there is no
tire slippage...tires slip fine on dirt or gravel. Dakota does not have a
differential
between the front and rear wheels, therefore the front wheels want to turn
at the same speed as the rear wheels, which can't happen when the front
wheels are turned.

On dry pavement, there is no slip so something has to give ... such as very
expensive
components of your drive line.

Also, your rear wheel ABS may be ineffective in 4 wheel drive when you lock
up the front brakes, the drive line
will lock up the rear wheels.

All wheel drive vehicles have some sort of front/rear differential to
account for this.
