Wow Alex, you must have read my mind. I was just getting ready to post
the same type of question.

I have a 98 RC (only a month old). It sat outside the other day in
steady rain. :( Upon getting in the vehicle to go home from work, I was
greeted by unexpected wetness behind the passenger seat. Arrgghh! Upon
further inspection with a flashlight, it seems that there is seepage in
numerous places across the top seam and on the sides. Its possible that
the center brake light seal is leaking, but I doubt it.

My situation is a little different. I had the dealer install a rear
slider prior to purchase, as the truck came from the factory with the
single piece window (what can I say, I wanted the slider... guess I
should have left well enough alone...). The window they installed looks
like a non-factory aftermarket model, and doesn't appear to fit the body
curves perfectly, but not bad. Upon inspection of the seal inside, it
looks like they did a piss poor installation job, as I can see several
gaps and sloppy sealer application.

Before I take my truck back to the dealer and lose it for a day or two
:(, I wanted to arm myself with a little more data.

1. As Alex asked, are rear window leaks very common on the 97-98 Daks?
The rear window mount does have a few more curves than earlier models
which could make window installation more error prone.

2. Did anyone else have a dealer install a rear slider? Did they install
a factory window or aftermarket?

3. Does anybody else have an aftermarket rear slider on their 97-98?
Does it fit well? Does it leak?

4. I'm definitely going to insist that the dealer reinstall the window.
Should I also insist that they put a factory window back in?

Thanks for any and all help.
