Dropped spindles and springs in the front, will lower it 3 1/2 inches. You
still have a couple inches of travel, rides great. Rear should use new
hangers front and rear on the leaf springs. That will drop it four inches
total. BUT! The rear axle is a C##T hair off the bump stop, so I also
recommend a c-section on the frame. I used a drop kit from Western Chassis,
bought it from Sport Truck Direct out of Arizona. They do not have a c-
section for Dakotas, but Bell Tech does. My kit cost $650 including all four
shocks, spindles, springs, front and rear leaf spring hangers, and 1 inch
blocks for the rear. I never used the blocks because of the afformentioned
rear axle clearance. I understand the Bell Tech kits are a lot more expensive.
Note that the front leaf spring hangers in my kit are adjustable, I can raise
the rear another 2 inches. I plan on doing this when I get the time. For a
pic of my truck, check out my web site.
