I would not buy anything from a dealership that treated you in this
fashion. It seems that anytime you need to buy an appliance, a bed or
a vehicle you must subject yourself to deal with uneducated morons.
Anytime I go to a dealership and observe the "zombies" resembling the
night of the living dead, racing each other to get to me first, I
simply leave. Half these people seem to not have a high school
diploma, the other half seem to have just gotten released from jail.
I recently had a very good experience with Dayton Dodge in New Jersey.
Anthony, a sales rep, and the owner of the dealership spent close to 2
hours discussing my 71 Challenger. All before I even mentioned what
vehicle I was interested in. He then gave me a tour of the lot
pointing out performance highlights of various vehicles. The owner let
me drive HIS SST Ram "encouraging" me to do a smokey burnout!
Needless to say, they made a sale. A 98 318 3.55 Dakota. They agreed
to sell at $100 over invoice but finally settled at $400 BELOW
invoice. They threw in a bedliner and for $300 are installing a 3.90
Sure Grip unit.
A highly recomended dealership!

Thought I'd share an amusing (irritating) line of $#^@% I got from my
dealer:

He *finally* gave me the number after I *twice* insisted that I was willing
to take those "risks". I'm considering canceling the order and buying the
closest thing I can find off of someone *else's* lot.

Still waiting on my 98 CC 4x4 SLT+
