Interesting. I originally thought they would just swap the NV231 out and
replace it with an NV242. I'm going to have to research this more. I
kind of like the fact that the 242 has two settings, one for pavement
which allows slipping and one for off pavement which locks the axles
together. Mile Marker's system sounds like it only has the full time
setting, with no solid lock option.

The price isn't too bad. Having an NV242 swapped in is currently on my
list of mods to make way in the future (unless I win the lottery or
something), but I have a feeling it would be much more expensive than
this.
BTW, isn't Mile Marker the same company who offers a hydraulic winch that
works on the power steering pump? The name sounds familiar, but that's
the only thing I can think of.
