} A quick math check here 2000 (trailer)+4000 (GTO) =6,000 lbs
} 6,000/6800*100 = 88.2% load, and since when does the Ram 1500 have a tow
} rating of 10,000 lbs (6000/60%=10000) besides they're really conservative
} with their numbers anyway, on my dad's old Ram the max towing rating is
} 7200lbs, we've towed 10,000 lbs several times with no problem, and we tow
} right around 7500 for several weeks straight during the summer hauling
} hay, and have never had a problem out of the truck and we've had it for 7
} years now, so I doubt he'll have any problems as far as longevity goes, if
} he likes a Dak he should go for it, and as long as he takes good care of
} it I doubt he'll have any major problems with it....

I agree that moving to the RAM 1500 would be pointless. The Dak can
probably handle it, but a RAM 2500 would be the ideal choice.
