In a message dated 98-02-06 23:38:26 EST, you write:

<<
>the difference between Air suspension is that the shocks in either front
or rear or both ends of the vehicle are removed and you replace the shocks
with an air bladder system that you pump up to get the ride or load
leveling you need. Most of these air-ride systems can handle up to
2,000lbs. You find many of these type of systems on tractor/trailer rigs
 and RV's. >>
If I'm not mistaken, the airbag suspension replaces the Springs not the
shocks, next time you see a Semi truck w/ Air Ride look at it and you can see
the Shocks there!

On some P/U's Air Bags are a supplement to the Leaf springs, Kinda like an
add-a-leaf.
