Welcome to winter wonder land... You get crummier mileage, and
have to deal with pinging on winterized fuel. They call it oxygenated.
Here in CA. they make us run that crap year round now. Started about
4 years ago... I run premium (you will too) all the time, so it doesn't
make much of a difference to me (truck doesn't ping on 92+ octane).
Started a new job last week, and a funny thing happened on the
way to the freeway... I followed a guy in a mustang, and finally noticed
once I got behind him on the onramp "Having you chased a Ford Lately?"
on his license plate frame :P
I couldn't resist... I should make one and 'let' him read it....
"Have you chased a Dodge, loaded with about 200# of tools, a 6' Ladder,
laptop computer, 22 gallons of gas, and empty lunch box, lately?"
Needless to say I had a good laugh when I passed him on the freeway,
and he was 'late', and couldn't catch up.
Sometimes I wish I had a shortbed, and REALLY wax'em....
I've been real busy at my new job, so that's why I've been on the list
very
little. When I have more time, I'll post a bit more.
Take it easy,
