PTO WINCH

The transmission in the vehicle must be made to accept the PTO. All
NP435's (older 4speeds) have the plate, as do all the NP205 Xfercases.
I doubt the 5speeds have this and I know for a fact that the Auto's do
not have it. It can be done easily on those vehicles that have a
Tranny that will accept the PTO. For understanding how it works, look
at some wrecker or carhauler. Most of them use the PTO to drive the
cables & winches. Some of the carhaulers do also. You can use the
same PTO to drive a front mounted winch.
