I ran across the following web site several weeks ago. In it he talks about
the "ideal shift" ; shift kits; etc.

No replies, not sure if this made the list
I am looking to further enhance my new Dakota. Currently it runs
pretty good and will smoke into second gear but it kind of "slides"
into second and I think that will cost me some time. I was thinking of
installing a shift kit that will "chirp" it into second. Has anyone
done this yet to a 98? Any reccomendations? Is B&M the way to go or
should I use MP? (if they are even available yet) DOes the MP kit gain
enough, or is it just a mild upgrade? And finally how difficult are
they to put in? (I can build engines but have no auto transmission
experience) And finally (again!), If they dont list 98 yet, are 96 and
or 97 the same setup? Thanks for the help! Joe Borg
