Nice summary Rob, but my '93 CC is badged LE, and the invoice was for
the Super-LE package. Also, '93 is the first year 4-channel ABS was
an option. Here's my edited version:

1987 Debut. Carburetted 3.9l V6 derived by removing two cylinders from
the venerable Dodge 318 V8. Styling included "Big Chunk" trim.
     Interior trim borrowed from K-cars.
1988 EFI (TBI) added to the V6. 2.5l I-4 normally aspirated economy
version is also available. ABS Rear brakes standard. Sport Model intros.
1989 Roller followers added to the V6. Dakota Convertible offered.
Shelby Dakota offered with a TBI 318 V8.
1990 Extended cab first offered (With old square Dak front), interior
undergoes an upgrade to Shadow/Sundance parts bin.
1991 V-shaped front clip fitted to TBI V8 models, which are optional
across the line, not a Shelby American retrofit.
1992 Magnum engines debut with MPI. Aero mods to cab and headlights.
1993 Four-Wheel ABS by Kelsey-Hayes offered as an option.
1994 Trucks must meet minimum car safety and emissions standards. Driver
air bag standard. Milder cam, Exhaust goes from 3" to 2.5" on V8s.
High-mounted stop lamp added. Non-return fuel system (filter in tank).
1995 Just costs more than '94.
1996 On Board Diagnostics, Level II (OBDII) engine management means faster
computer, hotter cam, pricier diagnostics gear.
1997 Son of Ram, restyled Dakota debuts with wider cab, 31" tire option,
     revised and improved interior.
1998 Sister-SUV Durango debuts with powder-coated Dakota frame, Caravan
rear hatch, and 5.9l V8 as only engine option. 5.9l (360 cid) also
comes to the Dakota as the R/T option late in production.
1999 New engine family debuts.
2000 Jeep Cherokee disappears, replaced by another Dakota-derived SUV,
but with a "Jeep" badge. Coil spring solid-axle front suspension
(ala Ram, Grand Cherokee, and TJ Jeep) likely on 4x4 models.

We all know Chrysler will cease to exist when the Y2K bug bites them,
and the whole banking/financial/monetary system; but they'll have made
a few 2000 model-year cars first.

Okay, lets fill in the blanks...

Jim
