I got mine (for NY) from an outfit called "Gould Publications".
I think they were about 30 bucks. It comes in a sort of 3/4 size
binder. If the laws change, they will send out updates that you just
stick in the binder. (Up to a year, I think... After that, it
costs extra.)
If you're interested, I'll dig up the contact information for
them when I get home.
Kind of a scary aside: When I was originally looking for a
place to find the traffic laws (NYS V&TL), I went to the Fredonia,
NY town hall and asked one of the court clerks there if they knew
of a publisher or a source where I could get the V&TL. She looked up
the address from the inside of one of their books for me, and said
that I could try there, but told me that she didn't think that
civilians were allowed to have a copy of the V&TL. I was stunned!
A court clerk who thinks that Americans are not allowed to have a
copy of the laws that govern them?!?!?!?! Positively frightening.
