I'll check on the price of the reflective tailgate letters on Monday,
yeah $450 sound high to me also.
Kinda reminded of when I needed to get 2 factory alloy wheels for one
of my customers whose kid went 4 wheeling in his new Toyota Avalon and
screwed up 2 of them. 1st the dealer said they listed for like $450
each, which actually didn't surprise me too much in this day and age,
but then I was jokin' with the parts manager when I called back to order
them and ended up getting them for a list to the customer of like $275.
The parts manager said that he looked them up in the Toyota upgrade
parts (kinda like buying from the Direct Connection catalog or Mopar
Performance Parts from the dealer) and they had a different part # and
cheaper price-allowing them to sell more of them since they were much
cheaper as a set that way than $450 each. I guess I kindof understand
the mentality but then again kindof dont..
