Screw the warranty, I'm worried about passing inspection! I want the
cam, but I don't want to get flunked cuz' my baby is stinky. Maybe I
should just get the damn thing a say screw it. I'll go to a place that'll
inspect it without using a sniffer- decisions,decisions-

The warranty on Federally-mandated emissions equipment is separate
from
the factory's bumper-to-bumper or driveline warranties. I don't remember
the exact amount of time (7 years? 12 years?) but it's probably safe to
say that worrying about it with an '88 vehicle is overkill.
