Or if you live where there are hills, park on a steep hill (heading down)
and try it. I have a steep driveway, and the belt often locks, preventing
me from turning around to look out the back window.

Try it while driving, apply the brake no need to slam on them, then pull the
belt, while the truck is decelerating, and have the passenger do it on that
side, then you will know if they work, can not do it stopped
