In order to remove the decals, I've found this to work well:
Use a hair blow-dryer, and blow it on high heat directly at an end of the
decal.
This will heat and free the adhesive on the back. You can begin to peel it off
and move the blowdryer across the decal as you peel it back.
This works great. You may be able to see a "ghosting" of where the decal
used to be located. Try a good cleaning, waxing and buffing in those areas.
