   Yep, a bodyshop can paint just about anything just about any color
you want, including plastic. They just throw down a primer coat first
then basecoat and clearcoat. Unless you actually pick up the object,
you won't be able to tell wether it is plastic, metal, fiberglass, etc.
from just looking at the paint job.
   Most places that sell stuff like this offer it in black or white so
that it can be painted; finding a place that will ship it to you already
color matched is pretty rare.
