You can paint the plastic ones. On my old truck (a ranger) I did it =
myself (with the spray cans of touch up paint found at auto part stores) =
and it came out all right, but for my Dakota I had it done by the body =
shop at my dealer and it came out excellent. If I remember right they =
charged me about =2455 for paint and labor. It was worth it in my =
opinion. You can see pictures of my truck (and the covers) at www.abacusin=

I saw a nice Dak here in Raleigh, NC with tailight covers and window
vent shades that were matched perfectly to his paintjob. Anyone know
where you can order them pre-painted like that? If not, do you think
the normal plastic ones could be painted to match given the paintcode?

Thanks=21

Just a note, I have a 98 Sport cc and I also have the big mirrors
(power and fold in) Not realizing it, I drove a truck with the smaller
mirrors and I ordered it with the big ones cause I wanted them to be able to
fold in. Anyway, I'm 5'4 tall and the mirrors absolutely suck, they are right in the
way for me to look around corners, like in a parking lot is the worst.
Then I added vent shades and it took up even mor of the little gap that
between the mirror and pillar. But I can still look thru them.
This may be one thing to consider before you paint yours and can't see thru
them.
