You are throwing your money away with 93 octane. Only time you need higher
octane gas is if your valves rattle. Or you have the SBEC installed. Only
difference in the different grades of gasoline is the octane rating. The
octane rating on a gasoline has to do with the fuels resistance to ignite. In
other words, a lower octane fuel in a high compression/high performance engine
is more likely to pre-ignite than a higher octane fuel. Our Dak's dont have a
high compression engine, so they dont need high octane fuel.
I ocassionaly put 89 octane in mine 'cause the valves like rattle when I get
on it.
