MPI has lots of stuff for the V6, and since it's a mugnum engine, there is
even more stuff available. You could start with some minor upgrades like
pulleys and a K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit. That's good for about
25 ponies. Then you could go up to an exhaust system from Mopar
Performance. They have a lot of stuff for the Magnum Engines, like
headers and exhaust. Give em' a call- I don't know their number off hand,
but it would be worth your while to give them a call. Call MPI also, they'll
help you a lot-
unless you want an engine swap, and that's a whole other can o'
worms!

Hi DML'ers,
I got this question from this person who is having performance
problems with his Dak. As he has a V6 and 4wd and wants to run with
the
2wd V8s, he needs some reality, but he could use some help from the
V6
Gurus here. Please send information to him please.

                        Cheers,

hello Bill
I have a 1993 Dodge Dakota With the V6 engine and manual
transmision 4WD. Compearing to the 2WD Dakota mine runs much more
poor. (It
has 31 tires) I guess the main reason is tire diameter but i'm not sure. I
would like to improve 0-60 MPH on my truck. I'd like to know how can i do
so. I don't know very much about this but i guess that increasing HP is
the
only way. I''ve been finding out if i can suap a V8 engine but i realise
it's very compicated. Probably installing mopar performance parts on my
V6
would be a solution. I'd like to do 0-60 MPH times close to 2WD Dakotas
with the V8 engine.Do you know what is that time?. Do 0-60 MPH times
are
directly related to HP?. The V8 Dakotas have 230 HP Considering that
they
have the same transmision as mine. If i increase HP to 230 HPin my V6
will
it be the same to have a V8 engine?.
Sorry for such amount of questions but i'd like my truk to perform better
and i no nothing about tech.
          Thanks a lot
