Bill,

Your '93 (assuming it is original) has the 46RH (this is what the Chrysler FSM
refers to it as). The difference between the RH, and RE is that the "H"
stands for Hydraulic. The 46RH is simply an old fashioned 3 SPeed hydraulic
tranny with a modified tail shaft housing for the OD unit. The OD (and
Lockup) is the only electronically controlled aspect of this tranny. The "E"
stands for electronic. The 46RE is the same tranny, except now all the shifts
are solenoid controlled via the Computer.

I think that there would be much less confusion if we all used the Chrysler
Designations for our Trannies (i.e. 46RH, 36RH, Etc), and left the old
designations (A518, etc) to discussions about bolting up older model three
speeds (which these are) and the like.

BTW, what older model 3 Speeds would bolt up to the magnum Engines??
